Charlie Chevron Brown Chevron Garden Chevron Party

Chevrons just for the sake of chevrons are not appealing to me (which is why I loathe Missoni (exaggeration)).

Saying “chevrons” just for the sake of saying “chevrons,” however — that is very appealing to me.

I’m feeling very chevrons today.

How are your chevrons, Mrs. Chevrons?

I loathe Missoni (exaggeration, but the more I think about it maybe not) and was baffled by the incredible response to Missoni for Target, though I guess if you don’t have any chevrons in your closet and you are dying for chevrons, well, you know you’ll get some chevrons there. Chevrons.

The whole "name designer does line for cheap clothing store" trend... I don't really get it. Isn't the whole point of buying designer clothes that they are going to be objectively higher quality than anything else out there? You know, fabric that doesn't develop mysterious holes in it after two wears, seams that don't pucker or split, cuts that hold their shape, lining that... exists. If what you want is a cheap knockoff of a designer's style, the fast fashion stores will do that for you on the extra-cheap. So in the end, that clothing that you've wrenched from the grasp of a hundred other fanatics has neither the quality of expensive clothing nor the low price tag of cheap clothing.

Then again, I don't understand any of the appeal of the Black Friday-style feeding frenzy that goes on vis-à-vis shopping. It just stresses me out. I much prefer the relaxed vibe of Polly Sue's, where I bought Charlie Chevron Brown Chevron Garden Chevron Party.

Back to chevrons. Chevvvvvrons.

I love how the chevrons on Charlie Chevron Brown Chevron Garden Chevron Party are so sloppily slapped on, as if Charlie Brown himself, or really any kid with limited fine motor skills, took charge of the pattern division at the textile mill for the day.

It’s not just the chevron print that appeals to me here; the neckline on Charlie Chevron Brown Chevron Garden Chevron Party has that loose, folded-over style that I have come to realize I love (see also: Adventure Garden, Trompe l'Oeil, Paisley Park).

The fit is comfortable yet sophisticated in a way that contrasts with the crudeness of the chevrons.

In conclusion: chevrons.
