Swimming Pool was a birthday gift to myself — everyone does that, right? — a couple of years ago from the awesome Another Man's Treasure. It's a little dangerous to have AMT so close to my house; three times out of four, they'll have something irresistible, and Meika, one of the owners, knows my style all too well.
But what are you going to do? Deny yourself the pleasure of a cute new frock?
Unthinkable.
Besides the groovy pattern, which I don't think repeats (is it a pattern, technically, if it doesn't repeat?),
Swimming Pool has lots of little touches that make it a perfect spring dress.
Neckline! I don't even know what this kind of neckline is called. Let's call it "the Swimming Pool neckline" from now on.
Faux belt with bow! I neglected to get a close-up, but believe me, it's there.
Piping on the cuffs!
Piping on the skirt! Piping everywhere! Actually, I'm not sure if "piping" is the exact right term here, but it'll do.
Polyester + bright colors + weirdo print + cute fit + matching details = kickass birthday present.
